At Coventry, Brian oversees a diverse portfolio of 20 million square feet of retail properties across 43 states. Brian’s ability to identify profitable investment opportunities and execute effective strategies has been critical in the firm’s continued success. His leadership has been integral in expanding the portfolio and maintaining a competitive edge in an increasingly dynamic market. Brian’s leadership extends beyond acquisitions and capital markets. In response to the shifting dynamics caused by the pandemic, he spearheaded efforts to diversify the firm’s investment strategies, focusing on new platforms such as net lease and unanchored strip mall developments. These initiatives are designed to capitalize on demographic shifts and the ongoing wealth transfer expected to reshape the real estate market. His forward-thinking approach has significantly increased Coventry’s Assets Under Management (AUM), positioning the firm for continued success in the long term. In addition to his role in acquisitions and capital markets, Brian has played a key role in asset management. He has overseen several high-profile transactions, including recapitalizing $380 million in legacy investments. Brian’s expertise in securing capital, restructuring joint ventures, and executing new business plans has been crucial in ensuring the success of these investments. Notable projects under his leadership include a $100 million mixed-use redevelopment in Salt Lake City and a $250 million ground-up development in Kirkland, Washington, demonstrating his ability to manage large-scale real estate projects and deliver solid returns. Before joining Coventry, Brian began his career at Lehman Brothers, where he worked on the Real Estate Partners Fund I. This early experience in private equity real estate helped shape his expertise in institutional investing and capital markets, influencing his career trajectory. Brian Moss of New York holds a Bachelor of Science in Communications from Northwestern University, where he excelled as a member of the men’s Varsity Tennis Team. He earned Academic All-Big Ten honors and was ranked among the top junior tennis players in Canada and the U.S. His success in tennis earned him a partial scholarship to Northwestern, where he continued to thrive academically and athletically. Originally from Winnipeg, Canada, Brian moved to Seattle, Washington, with his family before high school. He attended Lakeside High School, where he contributed to the tennis team’s success, helping them secure a state championship victory. Outside of his professional career, Brian is passionate about giving back to the community. He coaches youth soccer, volunteers with the Terry Fox Foundation, and supports Ice Hockey in Harlem, a program designed to foster leadership skills in young people. Brian resides in Brooklyn, New York, with his wife and three daughters. He enjoys playing tennis, skiing, and supporting the Winnipeg Jets in his free time.
